Char49 COO David Sopas presents at C-DAYS 2021
C-DAYS is a conference organized annually by the National Cybersecurity Center (CNCS), the Portuguese authority on cybersecurity and aims to promote and debate this topic. This is the year of the 7th edition of the event, where professionals, academics, decision-makers and interested parties in general come together to discuss the various perspectives that shape this area of activity.
Under the theme “Naturalizing skills” (“Naturalizar competências”), C-DAYS 2021 is dedicated to cybersecurity skills and the need to make them common among people and organizations, that is, making cybersecurity a natural concern and a “know-how” assimilated since the first years of citizens' training and the way in which companies and public administration operate.
This year, the conference returns to Porto from 14th to 16th June and is attended by David Sopas, COO of Char49, representing AP2SI (Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Information Security).
David Sopas is a security researcher with over 15 years of experience in intrusion testing and vulnerability research. Passionate about sharing knowledge and inspiring others, David has presented at events such as DEF CON, BSides, C-Days, Oposec among others. He recently contributed to the initial draft of projects like the Go-SCP and the OWASP API Security TOP10.
David's session “Taking over your subdomain 101” will give the attendees a small introduction on what subdomain takeovers are, the different types of takeovers, risks associated to this attack and the most fun part - real case scenarios. The live streaming of the session can be watched on June 15th at 5pm.
